Dear Friends and Family,

We are delighted that you will be sharing with us this very special moment in our lives! On this page you will find all the information you need, from where and how to get a passport and a Brazilian visa, to vacation packages in case you want to explore more of Brazil after our wedding.

One more thing: your hotel stay in Ouro Preto on Friday 02/13 and Saturday 02/14 is on us!

Passport and Visa Information

You will need a passport to come to Brazil. If you already have a passport please note that it must be valid for at least 6 more months upon your arrival date in Brazil.

Passport:
To obtain a passport for the first time, you need to go in person to one of over 9,000 passport acceptance facilities located throughout the United States with two photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver’s license. Visa:
If you are not a Brazilian citizen, you will need a visa to enter Brazil. It is a very simple process to obtain a Brazilian visa and it usually takes only one day. Click here to find out how to get a Brazilian visa

Tickets and Travel Information

For tickets from the U.S. to Brazil, you may contact:

American Airlines also has some excellent deals (less than $1,000 round trip!) if you purchase by December.

The closest airport to Ouro Preto is Belo Horizonte CNF. Ouro Preto is about 210 miles north of Rio de Janeiro and 97 miles southeast of Belo Horizonte.

If you would like to come for the rehearsal dinner and wedding only, you will need to buy a ticket that will get you to Belo Horizonte CNF no later than Friday Feb 13, in the morning. There will be a shuttle bus at the airport to take the wedding guests to Ouro Preto.

If you would like to spend some time in Brazil with the bride and groom before the wedding, they will arrive in Rio de Janeiro on February 7 and leave to Belo Horizonte on February 12. They will be staying at the Fasano Hotel in Ipanema neighborhood, in Rio. Click here for other hotel options in the same area. There are several tours and other activities planned for the bridal party and guests in Rio. If you arrive on Thursday February 12 in Belo Horizonte, you wil be able to take a tour of the city, and attend a welcome barbecue hosted by the bride's family. Click here for our suggestions of hotels in BH. Shuttle buses will take guests from Belo Horizonte to Ouro Preto on the morning of Friday February 13.

For the more adventurous and with more time, Carnival season is from February 21 to February 25. BACC is providing our guests with several packages that fall into 3 main categories (for packages, ask for travel agent Selma):
