American Airlines also has some excellent deals (less than $1,000 round trip!) if you purchase by December.
The closest airport to Ouro Preto is Belo Horizonte CNF. Ouro Preto is about 210 miles north of Rio de Janeiro and 97 miles southeast of Belo Horizonte.
If you would like to come for the rehearsal dinner and wedding only, you will need to buy a ticket that will get you to Belo Horizonte CNF no later than Friday Feb 13, in the morning. There will be a shuttle bus at the airport to take the wedding guests to Ouro Preto.
If you would like to spend some time in Brazil with the bride and groom before the wedding, they will arrive in Rio de Janeiro on February 7 and leave to Belo Horizonte on February 12. They will be staying at the Fasano Hotel in Ipanema neighborhood, in Rio. Click here for other hotel options in the same area. There are several tours and other activities planned for the bridal party and guests in Rio. If you arrive on Thursday February 12 in Belo Horizonte, you wil be able to take a tour of the city, and attend a welcome barbecue hosted by the bride's family.
